No matter what their economic or ideological origins, foundations are called upon to address the growing number of crises and increasing dysfunction of societies. Within their national, continental and international organisations and networks there is lively debate on the meaning of foundations and on their means of action. What does it mean to be a foundation involved in systemic change?

FPH participates in this debate as a member of the EDGE network (Engaged Donors for Global Equity), the EFC (European Foundation Centre) and its working groups (environment, agriculture, sustainable city, Europe) and the ARIADNE network (European funders for social change and human rights).
