The 4D association, Dossiers and Debates for Sustainable Development  : a citizen think tank for the transition to sustainable development.

Created after the Rio Earth Summit of 1992, 4D builds knowledge and expertise on sustainable development and helps raise awareness of its issues, vital for the 21st century.

In a context of multiplication of public and private stakeholders on environmental, social, democratic, cultural and economic issues, 4D claims to appreciate a fact in a long-term perspective, with the necessary distance and defends points of view by proposing an expert and humanist analysis.

The two pillars of 4D  : the expertise and the conviction that the implementation of change is based on the behavior of the actual actors (local authorities, companies and individuals) and that this goes through an understanding of the stakes and their impacts.

A singular actor, connive and bearer of credible and positive proposals to the political, scientific and educational communities, 4D develops its activity internationally, as well as at national and local level. It shares, with its network, a vision of sustainable development concerned with the legacy to be passed on to future generations.

Objectives

Mission  : work for a development compatible with the preservation of the planet’s resources, giving a large space to the initiative of the territories, offering individuals and societies other forms of fulfillment and enriching practices democratic.

Work : rebuild the desire for the future.
