The Charles Léopold Mayer Foundation for the Progress of Humankind (FPH) is a Swiss foundation that makes grants to civil society movements and organisations to support their actions in favour of a social and ecological transition.
The Centre of Research and Popular Education, CINEP/Peace Program, was created by the Society of Jesus in 1972 with a mission to work towards creating a more just and equitable society by promoting integral and sustainable human development.
Its tasks include the following:
Building knowledge and data systems through structural and historical research.
Providing training and accompaniment to marginal sectors and their organizations to strengthen their capacities and claim their rights.
Providing mediation in the country’s social conflict to contribute to building relationships and agreements between the different sectors of civil society and the State, to impinge upon social change and public policies.
CINEP/PPP works on four thematic axes:
Conflict, State and development.
Social mobilization, rights to territory and interculturality.
Memory of victims of human rights violations and serious violations of international humanitarian law.
Citizenship, peace and reconciliation initiatives.
