The Charles Léopold Mayer Foundation for the Progress of Humankind (FPH) is a Swiss foundation that makes grants to civil society movements and organisations to support their actions in favour of a social and ecological transition.
Budget 2018-2020: 560 000 €
Young people and future generations are essential actors in the transition to sustainable societies. Educating children, and the adults that accompany them in the process, is thus a powerful lever in getting people to adopt eco-responsible behaviours.
The foundation supports a European dynamic designed to encourage young people and their teachers to change their habits, through awareness programmes and education in the environment and sustainable development. The goal is to give young people opportunities, dialogue with political leaders at all levels of governance and shape curriculums so that schools turn out responsible eco-citizens.
